Hey Fans,
We received an e-mail from Kelly who is a member of Selena Gomez Club. Kelly told us the most touching story we have ever heard and we thought we would share that with you.
Kelly and her 3 sons Gage, Nicholas and Adrian as pictured left to right above went to see Selena at her Philadelphia concert at the Tower Theatre. They were able to meet Sel and take this picture with her. While talking to her at this time they presented her with an autism awareness pin and Sel said she would wear this pin in her show in honor of Gage who has autism and to support everyone suffering from autisim. Sel said she would and she did.
In the picture below you will see plainly that Sel honored her word and wore that pin for Kelly’s son. That just goes to show how great Sel is when it comes to supporting and helping people. Kelly and her son were very grateful for Sel doing that for them and it was something very special that has won Sel a place in all their hearts and also the heart of this reporter as well.

In Kelly’s own words:
My sons gave to her an autism pin on behalf of their brother and she was so kind to wear it at the concert in Philadelphia. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her.
She has really touched my families heart!
Take care and keep up the great work that you do on behalf of Selena!
Love, Kelly
That is just so special that Sel does things like this for people. It is a real testament to the type of person she is and that is why we all love her so much. That is why we at SGC are honored to support her the way we do.
Now for the people who may not be aware of what autisim is, we have done some research on it. We are not experts on this subject by any means, so we found some information from a source on the internet that may help people understand what it is. We feel it is necessary to educate our members about this and do what we can to bring awareness about autisim to everyone with this information.
Autism is one of a group of serious developmental problems called autism spectrum disorders (ASD) that appear in early childhood — usually before age 3. Though symptoms and severity vary, all autism disorders affect a child’s ability to communicate and interact with others.
It’s estimated that three to six out of every 1,000 children in the United States have autism — and the number of diagnosed cases is rising. It’s not clear whether this is due to better detection and reporting of autism, a real increase in the number of cases, or both.
What is clear is that though there is no cure for autism, intensive, early treatment can make an enormous difference in the lives of many children with the disorder.
So that is what autism is and we hope everyone will support anyone that has autisim and also do what you can to support charities that support people that have it. To read more information about autisim please click this link http://www.bing.com/health/article/mayo-117461/Autism?q=autism
Kelly also provided us with a video showing Sel wearing the pin. Here is that video and you can plainly see the pin on her left label:
We would like to thank Kelly and her sons for allowing us to bring this amazing story to you. This is what makes working here on SGC so great. Our love and prayers are with you Gage and Kelly.
