Selena’s Summer

Selena sat down with the July 2009 issue of M magazine before she left to film the movie Ramona and Beezus movie.
“I am very nervous about filming this new movie. It’s kind of my first role where I won’t have my Disney friends around me. I’m use to seeing thier faces every day and now I’m on my own.”

Selena did great while filming the movie.

Selena has not seen Demi in awhile. Before she set off to Canada to film the Ramona and Beezus movie, she was in Puerto Rico filming the Wizards Movie.

Keep an ear out for the Wizard movie. I think I heard it was suppose to be on Disney in August…

“The first week I was awy in Puerto Rico was hard. I went to this stairwell where Demi and I wrote our names. We put “Demi and Selena = Best Friends Forever.’ I took a picture of it and sent it to Dem.”

Selena is determined to make the best of this summer.

“I’m having a great time. Being away… it was needed. Being on my own without my Disney buds is really a good thing. I’m determined to stay happy!”

Interview with Selena Gomez

Here are some of the questions and answers from People Special magazine interview.

“Your parents divorced when you were 5, and your dad lives in Texas. Do you go home often?”

“I try to fly out once a month. I’ve adjusted to L.A., but I’m a Texas girl at heart. I’m waiting to get a Texas driver’s license. I’ve always dreamt of having that card when I get older. I don’t want a California license.”

“What makes you and Demi quintessential Texas girls?”

“We could both sit at a table and eat a jar of pickles, and lemon and salt. It’s so weird! In Texas everyone puts lemons on everything. We also say “y’all.”

“You’re also pals with Taylor Swift. How’d that come about?

“We met at an event. We started talking and we just kept talking. She said, “I feel like I’ve know you for 10 years!” Once when I was feeling sad, she came to my house with three grocery bags of food and homemade cookies, She was like, “Let’s talk.” This past year, I’ve learned who my true friends are. I realized I should surround myself with people who make me smile. I have her, Demi and my Wizards cast, and that’s all I really need.”
“Let’s see if we can make you blush. It is true that your first kiss was with Zack and Cody star Dylan Sprouse?”

“Yes, I actually gave my first on-screen kiss to Dylan on his show. I was 12, and I was so nervous. The direct took Dylan and me a side, and we practiced, which was embarrassing.”
