Selena Gomez sat down and talked to the July 2009 issue of Popstar about her not being perfect.

“I just try to be the best I can – - not because I am a role model, but just because I want to for myself. I do my best to be aware that I have a younger audience who is following me, but at the same time, I’m 16. I still make mistakes and maybe there’s mistakes that they don’t even know about, but I try my hardest to keep my mistakes to myself because that’s where they should be – - not interfering with my fans at all. We’re all human and we make mistakes, so I don’t ever want to put out the image that I’m perfect because I’m definitely not.”

“I’m gonna kind of take my fans through it and they’re going to experience it with me. So I’ll be able to make videos from the first day I go into the studio until the very last day I go into the studio – - kind of having them going through the journey with me because it’s going be something that’s a big part of my life and I’m really excited about it,” Selena told the magazine about the interactive recording process.

Selena wants to make her songs fun.

“I want to make sure it’s fun and energetic. I wanted to make sure my songs aren’t too deep or serious or something like that.”

New hair cut – - new Selena.

“Basically, that picture with me with the wings is my symbol of me stepping out. No one has ever seen that side of me before so that’s why those pictures were like, ‘Well, where did they come from?’ That’s not the normal Selena.”

“I really want to take my time with [my music], just because I don’t want to be taken too seriously as a singer because acting is my number one.”

Acting is number one, and I think that is great. But the girl can sing.

Selena in People Magazine

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are on a spacial edition of People Magazine, according to JustJardJr.

“It’s weird! It’s like a scrapbook of me and Demi. There are obviously some things that aren’t in there, but it’s our scrapbook. It’s insane. It’s a blessing to go through this with her,” Selena told the website.

I did not see it when I went to the store, but I saw another magazine that was completely dedicated to Selena.

Selena sat down and talked to JustJaredJR about her experience

“I was shaking! I ran into Jennifer in the bathroom and she goes, ‘Hi!’ My legs started to shake and I ran. I didn’t know what to do because I freaked out. I always say that I worship Rachel McAdams as a movie actress but for comedy — the whole reason I started my show and mannerisms, they were after Jennifer Aniston. It was so funny, they were playing clip reels of the work she’s done and I quoted the whole thing. Every single thing she’d say, I would say it. People were sitting there laughing at me and they’re like, ‘Wow, you’re obsessed.’ I freaked out, but I was happy she got the [Crystal] Award.”

I can not believe it… She was able to run. There is no way I could have moved my feet. I would just stare at them and try to form a complete sentence.
