Demi and Miley were seen going to dinner together with Miley’s boyfriend Liam. Demi who used to be best friends with fellow Hollywood star Selena Gomez said that they fell out when Selena didn’t approve of her new image makeover. This seems strange considering Selena introduced Demi into the spotlight when she started out, but they seem to have drifted apart and changed considerably since the beginning of their careers.

Demi told a reporter:

“There are times when even if you’ve known someone for a long time, you change”

Miley and Demi seem to both be bonding over their desire to shake off their child star images and to be treated more like adults. Selena on the other hand is not impressed. In this case, I think that they’ve both grown up at different rates and this changed the dynamics of their relationship.

Selena said about their friendship:

“I think [ending friendships] is natural and people have to go through it.”
