“For three years, I had a crush on my best friend,” Selena told J-14 (September 2008 Issue). “I’m a guy’s girl, so we’d hang out a lot. I’m the type to tell someone, but I’ve never like someone as much as I liked him. So, it was a harder for me.”

But, Selena was moving to California, she told him. “I finally told him when we moved. When I left, we stayed friends, and it was good because I didn’t want to lose my friendship over it.”

Selena’s First Date

Selena Gomez sat down with J-14, for the October/ November 2008 Issue, and she talked about her first date, which is rumored to be with Nick Jonas.

“My very first date was recently, not that recently, but recently. Most people have them when they’re 12 or 13, and I didn’t. He walked to the door, and he had a rose in his hand, just one. And then he took me to have dinner on the beach and we walked on the beach. It was at night, so it was really pretty with all the stars. And we had our first kiss. It was a sweet, sweet kiss. I felt like I was in a movie and I was waiting for the director to yell ‘Cut!’ It was very cute.”

Aw, how romantic. That sounds like a great date.
