Selena Gomez sat down and talked to the July 2009 issue of Popstar about her not being perfect.
“I just try to be the best I can - - not because I am a role model, but just because I want to for myself. I do my best to be aware that I have a younger audience who is following me, but at the same time, I’m 16. I still make mistakes and maybe there’s mistakes that they don’t even know about, but I try my hardest to keep my mistakes to myself because that’s where they should be - - not interfering with my fans at all. We’re all human and we make mistakes, so I don’t ever want to put out the image that I’m perfect because I’m definitely not.”

“I’m gonna kind of take my fans through it and they’re going to experience it with me. Selena wants to make her songs fun.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are on a spacial edition of People Magazine, according to JustJardJr.

It was so funny, they were playing clip reels of the work she’s done and I quoted the whole thing. Every single thing she’d say, I would say it. People were sitting there laughing at me and they’re like, ‘Wow, you’re obsessed.’ I freaked out, but I was happy she got the [Crystal] Award.”

Today, June 5, I heard a leaked song that Selena sung. It was a great song, but it was linked and it wasn’t for the public to hear, She had to go to her twitter page to clear up some things.
“There is currently a song floating around on the internet. Yes the song is me, I recorded it about a year and a half ago. It is sad to see that something I did privately and for fun with a friend is now for the public to hear. This is NOT about ANYONE as some suggest. The song is NOT apart of my record.”

“The one thing I love about being connected with my fans is that i can grow with you guys. We are all going through lots of the same things and I love that i can relate to all of you. There is one thing that kind of hurts if I may share with you guys, a word that no one should be called when they are growing is… hypocrite.
My reasoning behind me disliking this word is because I believe we are all changing, growing and learning new things about ourselves everyday. I don’t know about you guys but i feel like a complete different person from when I was 13, 14, and 15 and I’m pretty sure this feeling will occur again.
Things that we may have liked or loved one year ago may be things we won’t ever mention again and don’t want to either. I remember when I was 12 telling my friends I would never ever wear dresses because i thought they were too prissy. Now I own more floral dresses than pants. Or how I hated mustard and gagged at the sight of it, now I will not touch a hot dog without it. I also said that I would never fall in love until I was much older to really understand the word…..
I am trailing off but my question for you guys is what have you said that may be completely different now? It’s an interesting conversation starter I must say. The bummer about that part for me is I kind of get documented saying it……….The number one thing in my life besides my family and friends is you guys and my job and I would love the chance to grow and CHANGE with you of course, that is if you allow me to…If you give me that chance i will be forever grateful. thank you. Selena Gomez is going to be on the June edition of Teen Vogue, according to Paul Chi, writer for www.people.com.
Things have changed for Selena about what she wants in a relationship.
“I want someone who is crazy about me, who treats me like a princess. I want the picture-perfect fairy-tale stuff.”
I think that is what a lot of us wanted when we were younger.
“I used to say that I wanted someone cute and nice, an actor too, so he’d get it. But now I think it would be good for me to date someone who’s not in the business,” Selena says. “I want someone honest, someone who’s very sweet to my family and friends, and polite to the other people around me. Being cool, having a cool energy is just not attractive to me.”

There is a rumor going around that the beautiful actress /singer Selena Gomez is dating Taylor Lautner , from New Moon, according to www.celebuzz.com. It has been reported some sources have said that the couple have been seen eating together and he even had lunch with her on the set of the “Ramona,” movie, which is being filmed in Canada.
As far as I know, there have been no pictures taken yet or even confirmed.
Personally, I think that they would make a cute couple.
Mother’s Day
According to www.aceshowbiz.com, Selena Gomez will be cooking for her mother, Mandy, on Mother’s Day. Selena will be preparing Shrimp Lettuce Wraps. Interesting meal, but there is a reason for it.
“This is actually the first meal we cooked in our first house. We had always lived in apartments so, when we finally got settled into our very first home, it was the first thing we made,” Mandy explains.
Only once did my sister and I cook mom breakfast, we were not that only. She got burnt toast, eggs with the shells, orange juice and coffee.

Great Parents
Selena Gomez sat down with Tiger Beat magazine and talked a little about her parents.
When you are a teenager it is hard to go to a parent for advice, but Selena Gomez does not have any problems talking to her mom.
“I always go to my mom for advice. She’s taught me how to not take things too personally.”
It is hard for celebrities to stay ground and not get a big ego.
“My mom and stepdad are my two biggest supporters. But they also keep me very grounded. Coming out to L.A. And having all these people say ‘Yes, you’re perfect’ - It was my parents’ job to be there and say, ‘No you’re not. You still have to do your chores!’”
What does Selena like to do when she has time off? She spends time with her parents.
“We’ll go rent movies and buy a bunch of junk food and hang out in our sweatpants.”
